Here is some reflections, Even thou we downscoped the build for the deadline still had alot of implementations and finesss not up to the level we had hoped for.

If we were to conntinue with this exept polish it and fix some bugs and balancing it would be to use mouse and keyboard instead of controllers. That choice was based for the formal testplaying but for this type of game its not ideal. Remember Starcraft for the nintendo 64?

Below: Character Design. There is 3 fractions in Acies Animi. Demons, Angels and the AI fraction, since the game takes place inside a brain in a battle of good and evil the first version was still in the mytogical theme but moved over to more organ-based designs.
The distribution of work was that I made the first concepts of units and another artist made the animated sprites. I also made the small little portraits based on the final animated sprites by the pixelartist.
